cool Yule is nearly upon us. The Brick Box Midwinter Carnival steps up the action with more performances, interactive installations, music and merry mayhem.
The 17th will be a special night hosted by our friends in The North (where it really is cold!) The Japanese Fighting Fish present: The Fish Tank – prepare to be plunged into the depths where you will experience arty fishy fun and festive fin fuelled frivolities. Our friends the fishmongers will also be providing fishy treats and recipe tips for those who don’t want to eat an over sized turkey on Christmas day. Once upon a time...

Paola Sibilla graduated from the “School of High Italian Culinary Art - ALMA” headed by
Gualtiero Marchesi (Chef). She specialises in European and vegetarian food, fresh pasta, pastries and sea food. She explains:
I grew up in my parents’ restaurant where I was educated to savour and appreciate flavours and products, after all they are from Puglia!

She acquired all the techniques used by master chefs through studying and working both in her family - owned restaurant and in prestigious Italian restaurants. She is so passionate about her work; she would like to offer food lovers her passion and knowledge:
I’d really love to teach the art of exalting food in all its goodness and simplicity, to avoid spoiling it by adding too many ingredients or flavours”.

Soon Paola will open “
Casa Sibilla” a delicatessen with authentic Italian products, in Brixton Village, hosting young artists’ exhibitions. She will also offer cooking lessons and language courses in Italian and French related to food.
